Tour du Rutor 2012

Team R3e and Team Support participate in the Tour du Rutor at Italia, an extreme mountain ski race of 3 days, the first day with 2500 D+, the second day with 2000 D+ and third day with 2.400 D+. The race was very nice and hard. The winning team consists of Kilian Jornet and Jacquemoud.


XXIV Ransol – la Serrera Ski Hiking

Team R3e participates in the XXIV Ransol – La Serrera Ski Hinking that closed the IX Cup of Andorra of mountain ski. That were 2 days, the first day was a vertical with 850m D+ and the second day was a ski hiking of 15km with 1600m D+. Both days with very good snow and weather. The winner of the vertical is Ludovic Albós and the winner of the hiking is Ferran Vila. Regarding the IX Cup of Andorra the winner is Ludovic Albós.

XLVIII ski race of Bassiero

Team R3E and Team Support participates in the XLVIII ski race of Bassiero with a distance of 21km and a positive height of 2100m.

A very nice race with really good snow thanks to the 20 cm felt the day before. That helped to make downhill funnier. Nil Cardona and Oscar Roig were the winners of the race.

Altitoy 2012

Team R3E and Team Support merged this year for team ski races. The first race in which we participated was the famous Altitoy with about 500 participants, that is 250 pairs.

Among the top 10 finishers 3 pairs are from Andorra. Xavi Comas and Manel Pelegrina get the 3rd position on podium.


Diseño Interior – December 2011 Article

Design and site management of the implementation of all housing facilities.

This house has two main features. The first one is a very linear and exuberant architecture, both exterior and interior, which is derived from large measures of the construction – approximately 1.400m² on 3 floors. All building elements were designed to the last detail. The second one is a lighting system adapted to the architecture and finishes.

We almost had complete freedom when designing the lighting project of the house. However, the cubic architecture and its forms forced us to adapt each point of light at its location. The entire house is painted white and black, with a strong predominance of the second color, what resulted in a much more difficult lighting design.

The main objective was to reproduce inside and in the possible extent, the shadows created with the light of day by vegetation and the various elements of facade. The effect was achieved using the type of interior lighting, position of equipment and using the reflections of light. In addition, the considerable size of the exterior walls needed shadow games to get minimalistic effects, which contrasted with the volume set.

To achieve all the desired effects, it was necessary to use approximately 40 different models of appliances throughout the house and we have a total of 500 lighting fixtures. In addition, each room of the house is unique in terms of lighting. It was necessary to take into account the position of furniture, of every picture on the walls and even of the most important wine bottles in the cellar, among other things required by the costumer.

Regarding the technical side, it was necessary to consider each facilities installation because for example, only for the lights we needed 17km of cabling. It was also necessary to combine all the facilities to ensure a perfect performance, but also an optimal comfort for both sanitary water and heating system. The design of all facilities had to follow the same aesthetic criteria used in lighting, guaranteeing that the finish was perfect and only showing the necessary elements.

Design and integration of the home automation system for a house at the south of the Country. During execution of the site we also did the management for the rest of trades. We always emphasized on energy saving and the possibility of controlling the whole house. Thus, the home automation system manages all lighting fixtures (that in some cases are dimmed), walkways using presence detectors and we also have fixed an automatic turn-off of the lights to avoid that they stay switched on for a long time. Heating system, blinds and curtains are also controlled by the automation system, and thanks to a weather station we have real outdoor temperatures and luminous flux.

During the early stages of the construction we also carried out calculations based on the final expected outdoor enclosure to maximize the effect of thermal insulation. It was then possible to calculate the necessary and constructively functional thickness, obtaining external enclosures with reduced energy loss, which were combined with high thermal performance windows. The heating production system is executed with a low temperature aerothermy unit. Also, thanks to the perfect location of the building, it was possible to do the installation of solar thermal panels, which are used for both the heating and the hot water production, allowing the use of the free energy provided by the sun.

The final result is a house of a considerable size with very low energy consumption. Apart from the solar thermal panels, this house only consumes electric energy and the contracted power is almost the same than a conventional apartment, even including a lift. This shows that important savings can be obtained with a proper combination of systems and energy sources.
